This is a brief resume of the procedure for servicing timepieces here at Cromsmith Clocks. All clock repairs are issued with a full, itemised report on the work undertaken and a copy of which is handed to you for safekeeping.

A full 12 month guarantee is issued on work carried out.

All clock movement should be serviced every 5 years ensuring your clock will be kept in top condition. The reason for this is that oil present in the movement congeals over time and mixes with dust in the air. This forms a grinding paste causing premature wear to the movement which can be very expensive to rectify.

Dial and Clock Case Restoration can also be undertaken. We use local professionals in their field where items are personally delivered and collected.

On no account should spray lubricant ever be applied to the movement.
